Foster Botanical Garden
In the middle of Honolulu, just mauka (mountain side) of downtown you’ll find 13.5 acres of peace and nature. The site was established more than 150 years ago when Queen Kalama gifted a plot of land to William Hillebrand, a physician and botanist. After the doctor returned to Germany, 20 years later, the property was sold to Captain Thomas Foster and his wife Mary for the whom the garden is now named.
Here are a few images taken at the garden on February 1, 2009.
