Krauss Hall is an older wooden building on the Manoa Campus of the University of Hawaii. It consists of several structures with covered walkways connecting the offices and rooms. Between sections there are spaces where one can relax and escape. The koi pond is along the makai (ocean) side of the complex, along Dole Street.

Between classes and during the lunch hour students and staff take time off to find peace by the pond. This image was taken in the early afternoon, February 27, 2009.
